1. Vocab. 7 Quiz

2. Kill the Poor Poetry Analysis

We listened to Kill The Poor by the Dead Kennedys and analyzed it for poetic devices and its satirical theme.

3. Satire Response Poem

Students wrote at least 12 lines giving the solution to a problem (other than poverty) – extra credit was earned for students who wrote in rhymed couplets.

4. Lessons from Bad Essays

My riveting powerpoint presentation covered four major lesson to be learned from the less than stellar in class persuasive essays.

Turned in today: quizzes, vocab. 8 review, Kill the Poor Poetry Analysis and Satire Response Poem
